Family Tree

Family Tree  tells the story of a family's journey from childhood in India, to growing up in Scotland and adulthood in England, where a new journey begins with the next generation. Mixed media: cast glass, projection video-mapped animation and 'found' footage shot by Liz’s grandmother in the 1930-40s.

Figures in cast glass using lost-wax method from models inspired by actual dolls. Cast glass tree made by organic burn-out method. Installlation has a back projection system with custom plinth and first surface mirror.
